Who can attend Janney+ programs?
Janney+ programs are open to families enrolled at Janney Elementary School. Some offerings, such as enrichment and language classes, may also welcome students from nearby schools when space allows.
How do I register my child?
Start by filling out our New Family Form. Once the form is filled out, our staff will send you everything you need to get started — program details, registration steps, and welcome materials. Returning families can sign in directly through the Parent Portal button at the top of any page to manage registration, payments, drop-ins, and account settings.
How do I register my child for drop-in programs?

Do not plan to use afternoon drop-in care unless you receive confirmation.

Morning drop-in: Please email a request, but confirmation from us is not required — you may go ahead and drop in.

How can I access tuition assistance?
Janney+ is committed to making programs accessible for all families. Tuition assistance may be available for before care, after care, and enrichment programs. To learn more and apply, click the button in the top navigation and choose the “Tuition Assistance” subject from the drop-down menu to send your question to the Janney+ office.
What is the cost for programs?

Daily Programs & Schedules

What are the hours for Before Care and After Care?
Before Care begins at 7:00 AM and runs until the school day starts. After Care begins at dismissal and runs until 6:00 PM, giving families a full day of supervised care.
Are snacks provided?
A light, healthy snack is provided during programming. If your child has dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know during registration so we can accommodate their needs.
What happens on early dismissal or days off?
Camp Days are offered on many days when school is closed for professional development, parent-teacher conferences, or holidays. These are separate from the regular After Care program and require advance registration.
Can my child join enrichment or language classes without After Care?
Yes. Enrichment and language classes can often be taken on their own. After class ends, families can pick up directly or transition into After Care for the remainder of the afternoon.

What happens if my child is waitlisted for a program?
If a program reaches capacity, your child will be placed on a waitlist in the order registration was received. You can check your waitlist status in the Parent Portal — sign in to view your status. If a spot opens up, families are contacted directly and given a short window to confirm enrollment. There is no charge while a child remains on the waitlist.

Health, Safety & Behavior

What are the health and safety policies for participation?
Janney+ follows Janney Elementary School health and safety guidelines, including illness exclusion policies, allergy awareness, and emergency action plans. Staff are trained in first aid and CPR, and medication or special health needs should be communicated during registration.
What's our approach to behavioral management?
Janney+ uses positive behavior guidance rooted in clear expectations, consistent routines, and respectful communication. Staff redirect children calmly, reinforce expected behaviors, and help students build social-emotional skills. When needed, families are engaged as partners to support each child's growth and success.
How does Janney+ support students with learning differences or accommodations?
Janney+ is committed to inclusivity and welcomes students of all abilities. If your child has an Individualized Education Program (IEP), a 504 plan, or any other documented accommodations, our Student Engagement Manager works directly with Janney Elementary School leadership to understand and implement those supports across our programs. We use small groups when necessary, adapt activities to meet individual needs, and partner closely with families to ensure every child can participate fully and safely. To discuss your child’s specific needs, click the button in the top navigation and choose the subject that best fits your question.
