Janney+ Summer offers two vibrant options for families. In both camps, our dedicated staff, partners, and CITs ensure a summer full of exploration, excitement, and unforgettable memories.
Discovery Camp (PK–1st Grade)
Discovery Camp is our traditional day camp experience, designed for our youngest campers to explore, create, and play in a safe and nurturing environment. Each day is packed with arts and crafts, active sports, refreshing water play, engaging STEAM activities, hands-on culinary projects, and classic camp games.
Adventure Camp (2nd–5th Grade)
Adventure Camp takes the fun beyond camp walls with daily field trips to some of DC's most exciting destinations. From scaling a high ropes course to wild days at the zoo, splashing at local waterparks, exploring farms, and racking up high scores at the arcade or amusement park, every day brings a brand-new adventure.
Counselors-in-Training
Middle and high school students can apply in the spring to become counselors-in-training and work in both camps. CITs receive volunteer hours, on-the-job training, and valuable youth work experience.
